2023 Musical Act Winners!
  • 1st Place – The Illustrated
    The Illustrated is an original alternative/pop rock band based in Atlanta, Ga. Their music stems from a variety of different influences including Kings of Leon, Matchbox Twenty, The 1975, Hippo Campus, Kaleo and many more. The band members Paul, Jordan and Jorge met while attending school at the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media. The bassist Zack, was later added to the group during his studies at the Schwob School of Music.

  • 3rd Place – Lauryn Allen
  • 4th Place – Asamu Johnson and The Associates of the Blues

Walk the Beat accepts written requests for instruments, music lessons, voice lessons, or other musical educational opportunities to give youth a chance to learn and grow.

Become a Volunteer

Volunteer registration is always open. Be a part of Walk the Beat's cool music scene. You can request information, or register to volunteer at the White Lake Area, Grand Haven, or Albion festivals.

Donate an Instrument

Have an old instrument picking up dust in your home? We will refurbish your instrument and find it a new home with a youth in the White Lake Area!
